Hello!
We are Steph & Liv, a mom-daughter business from the prairies of South Dakota. Our mission is to hand-render nature’s wonders into wonderful products.
Founded in 2023, Golden Grass Naturals started as a homeschool project and rapidly became a go-to remedy for people of all ages! We heard numerous stories of individuals dealing with eczema, cracked skin, rashes, burns, and other skin irritations. After sharing our homemade tallow cream with friends and family, the response was overwhelmingly positive!
What sets our tallow line apart is our commitment to using only locally sourced South Dakota beef tallow, which we purify for a clean moisture base. We incorporate local raw beeswax and Vitamin E for preservation, and we custom-blend herbs, flowers, and oils for delicate fragrances. Our tallow creams are also free from essential oils and commercial fragrances making them ideal for those with environmental allergies.

What do these words have in common? They are all beauty trends of 2026. The idea of being proactive, with minimal products to create real skin beauty.
Now let's look back at history... Since the Egyptian times, suet (or tallow, in the rendered form) has been used as a skin barrier, protectant and healer. Suet was a prized possession for many cultures because of its skin-mimicking properties. As industrialization became more prominent, suet was replaced with synthetics.
Today, we return to our ancestorial ways and celebrate the skin benefits of pure tallow.
Pure beef tallow has a lipid-rich composition and mimics natural skin moisture. It is high in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), niacin, vitamins A, E, D & K. These properties promote healing and soothing by bringing natural oil production back into balance.
